KENNETH SHREVES has over fifteen years experience building Porsche race cars for professional, championship- winning teams. His love of mechanics and speed began as a teenager racing BMX bicycles and apprenticing as a fabricator. Growing up in Winchester, Virginia , a hotbed of racing talent, it wasn’t long before he was introduced to the racing world and leaders in the industry such as Tom Milner of Prototype Technology Group, Bob Tullius of Group 44 Jaguar, and Travis and Steve Cole of Cole Performance.

At the age of 19, Kenny began honing his mechanical skills and knowledge of Porsches while working for Oliver Kuttner and Pegasus Racing of Charlottesville, Virginia and G&W Motorsports in Waynesboro, Virginia. He moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he gained experience working with exotic cars for Tropical Sports Cars and Volkswagen race cars for  G&S Racing.  He spent the 1998 racing season with Champion Racing working with racing legends such as Juan Manuel Fangio, Jr., Brian Redman and Bill Adam and earning several podium finishes.  He broadened his engine-building skills while working with Jarvis Performance and building Porsche 962 prototype cars with Europroducts.

Kenny returned to his home state of Virginia to work for Weldon and Cole Scrogham of G&W Motorsports for five years during which they won several GrandAm Championships. Most recently, he worked with Colin Dougherty in the start-up phases of CDOC and with Flying Lizard Motorsports, Ferrari of Washington and The Racer’s Group.  He met Scott Leopold in 2005, when Scott became a client of Kenny’s Shrevespeed shop and quickly became friends. Together they started WERKSTATT Charlottesville in 2007 in Scott’s garage.
