RACING WITH OUR “LIZARD" FRIENDS

We are headed to Mid-Ohio with the Flying Lizard Motorsports team for the Acura Sports Car Challenge August 8, 2009. Then it’s off to Road America in Elkhart, Wisconsin for the Time Warner Cable Road Race Showcase August 16, 2009. It’s a very busy month in ALMS racing. The Grand Prix of Mosport at Mosport International Raceway in Ontario, Canada is just two weeks later on August 30.
 
The Flying Lizards hold the ALMS GT2 championship lead after four consecutive wins at St. Petersburg, Long Beach, Utah, and Lime Rock. 2009 is the sixth consecutive year of competition in the ALMS GT2 class for the Sonoma, California-based team. The Flying Lizards have finished every year in top three every year ALMS GT2 team and drivers' championships, since their first year of competition in 2004. Notably, in 2008, the team won both the ALMS GT2 drivers' (No. 45 Porsche of Joerg Bergmeister and Wolf Henzler) and team championships. In 2007, Flying Lizard was second in the ALMS GT2 team championship and No. 45 drivers Johannes van Overbeek and Joerg Bergmeister finished second in the ALMS GT2 drivers' championship.
